Moderator’s comment

As the moderator of here&now, I’d just like to remind everyone of the Code of Ethics that governs the blog and the core values that Savings & Loans stands by.

This blog – which gives members and the general public the ability to interact directly with the CEO – is very rare for any major organisation, much less a financial institution.

While we welcome people discussing Savings & Loans, our activities and our decisions, the Credit Union’s values of trust, integrity and mutual respect need to be remembered.

For Savings & Loans, this means that Greg will treat everyone’s opinions with respect and respond to any direct questions or concerns. He’ll also be totally honest in his responses and take your feedback on board.

For bloggers, this means making sure your comments relate to the subject matter and to the organisation, not to individuals. Anything that is defamatory or offensive to other bloggers, individuals or organisations won’t be published.

Savings & Loans is pleased to offer this kind of discussion for members, but please remember that this is a discussion forum and isn’t part of our complaints resolution process.

We have special processes in place to make sure any complaints from members are dealt with appropriately. Have a look at our Dispute Resolution Guide, visit your nearest branch or call 13 11 82 for more details.

Thanks for the useful feedback

Hi Rob and thanks for your feedback. I've forwarded on your suggestion to the department that takes care of PCLink.

We always like receiving suggestions from our members. If you (or anyone else, for that matter) have any other ideas on how we can improve the services we offer you, please use the 'Contact Us' section of our website.

Thanks

Greg

Welcome to CEOlink!

Hello and welcome to the first entry on my new blog (or ‘weblog’). I have to say that I’m not the most technical person in the world, so you will have to be patient with me as I get to know the ins and outs of how to work this blog. Anyway, I’ve got the blog up and running, so that’s a good start.

When it was suggested that I set up a blog, I knew very little about them. I did a bit of searching and found out that they have become extremely popular in the past few years and are a sort of online journal that can be accessed by friends, family and anyone else using the web. There are literally thousands of blogs on the internet on every topic you can think of.

I’ll be using the blog to communicate with our members and other parts of the community as much as I can. As well as blogging about Savings & Loans and the finance industry, I’ll be looking at other things in the community I think might interest you.

The beauty of blogging is that readers can comment on what I’ve posted. It’s a great way of making myself more accessible to members and I can respond to posts around my (pretty hectic!) schedule. Keep in mind that it might take me a few days to reply to comments.

I’d love to know what you all think of the blog so please leave some comments for me! Just click on ‘Comments' below.
